Mission Statement
To provide aviation enthusiasts worldwide with informative pages, backgrounds, and visual aids for learning, research, or any other aviation-related needs.

What is Global Aircraft?
Global Aircraft is a website designed to inform the world about aviation and its history. It is an excellent resource about planes with pictures, specifications, and backgrounds on planes from all around the world. Global Aircraft is more than a simple collection of aircraft pages. It allows you to ask questions about anything aviation related, chat with other aviation aficionados, win awards, play games, and much more.

History of Global Aircraft
Global Aircraft was founded on the Geocities server on August 12, 2000. This marked the starting point of the Global Aircraft website. While on this server, it went through 2 major design layouts; a red-curved background, and a completely flash layout - however, the completely flash layout didn't last long because of its compatibility problems. Around June 2001, the website was moved over to the tripod server for PERL file testing and extra storage space. This is the time the blue and green layout (similar to the one used today) was adopted. Hosting there lasted for about 4 months. On October 6, 2001, the GAC server was moved to globalaircraft.org, where it is to this day hosted by dreamhost. Through all these servers and layouts, the purpose of Global Aircraft has always remained the same -- to teach people about aviation and aircraft of the past, present, and future.

Global Aircraft Philosophy
The Global Aircraft layout was designed for total simplicity and speed, and our navigation was laid out to be as trouble-free, concise, and quick to download as possible. We want you to be able to log on, get what you need, and log off in the minimal time necessary. If you have some extra time on your hands we also host games, a forum, tests, awards, and a plethora of other fun-interactive pages. If at any time you have any problems or questions, you can send an e-mail to our main website support team at Support@GlobalAircraft.org. We will try to help you as soon as possible, and definitely within 24 hours.

Here at Global Aircraft, we also strive to make your visit as safe as possible. As our Privacy Policy suggests, any information you submit to us will be treated with complete responsibility and we maintain a strict "No-Spam" policy that means that we do not intend to sell, rent, or otherwise give your e-mail address to a third-party, without your consent.
